Bowling

Last week, we took Harlan bowling. We went to celebrate at a christmas party with Mommys work friends and it was Harlan's first attempt to go bowling. Harlan had his own technique :

We were using a stand type thing to help little man roll the ball downn the lane and then he would immediately drop to the floor and watch the ball go down the lane. Apparently this particular turn took a little too long and he took a nap waiting for the ball to fet to the end of the lane ;)

There was also a little mishap where little man took off down the lane and Mommy took off after him and we both ended up hitting the floor. It may be awhile until we try bowling again!!

My little performing monkey!

House Tour -Harlan Style

First of all, it has gotten super cold the last few days. We even had some snow this mornng. So needless to say, Harlan's outdoor style has changed some. He is even sporting a fun coat thanks to Gigi!
Here he is modeling his new coat.

He loves the cold, can you tell??

Harlan's room is now finished as well. Here he is hanging out in his new room!

Relaxing with a book in the "reading corner".

His bed and name

closet and toybox

changing table

He loves playing in his room!

He also has hisown bathroom til someone comes along that he would have to share it with. We stayed with the jungle theme here.

Brushing his "teef"

And finally showing off the Christmas tree!

PS. I am having someissues with my formatting here. can u tell? anyone know how to fix this?

This is what happens when Mommy goes to Walmart at Naptime.....

HO HO HO!

Little man had another meeting with Santa today.  Last year, he didnt seem to mind, he was in laid back baby mode.  This year, he walked right up to Santa, mommy put him on Santa's lap and he froze.  He didn't cry but he didnt laugh either.  Assoon as santa sat him down on the floor he looked at him and started talking to him like crazy.  I guess he just wanted to have a face to face.  Harlan also told Santa "HoHoHo"  which got a laugh from Santa.  It was alot of fun!

Thanksgiving 2009

Mommy and Harlan are spending quiet morning at home while Daddy sleeps in. See today is his 30th birthday!! Dont you think 30 years of hard work deserves a morning to sleep in?

So I am taking the time to catch up on our thanksgiving post i promised. We actually attended two thanksgiving dinners this year. The first one was at Nana and Papaw's house. Mommy forgot her camera and so I have no pictures to share from that day. It was a lovely time and I am bummed I cant share it with everyone. Uncle Trav and Aunt Ana captured some great pics though and you can head over th their blog and check them out!

I did remember my camera when we went to Gigis house (although i forgot the memory card, yeah im doing great here) but with a loaner from Gigi we got some pictures. We had a great time watching the parade, eating, and playing board games.

18 month appointment

So I realize that I havent posted anything about Thanksgiving yet....and I will, soon, i promise. I have the next 6 days off of work, so I *hope* to find time to post then. But i wanted to take a moment to share the big 18 month stats (well not big, more like proportional and small) drumroll please......

22 lbs 12 oz
29 1/2 inches long

Way ahead in speech and pretty freaking smart. So bascally he is the size of an average 12 month old but ready to go to college next year....... yeah he is a genius!! Not shocked? Well neither am I, i mean, look at his parents :)

He also has a right ear infection and is pretty boogery and snotty. we can deal with that. He also has 5, thats right **5** teeth coming in. Dr M said that these eye teeth (haha i know what to call them now) are usually the worst to come in. and we have had a pretty mellow little man thus far. He has always been a good teether and so it continues. Great job little man.

So there it is....the news from the doctor.....and wanna hear the best news of all??? With the exception of the seasonal flu shot, Harlan is finished with shots until he is 5. YAY!!!!!
