Dear Aunt Janet,
I am so sorry that I scared you with my dare devil tumble down the stairs yesterday. I know better that to try to go down the stairs forward with no help, but i just got so excited to see Dutchess that I couldn't help myself. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that my head doesn't hurt today, not even a little bit, and there is only the smallest little red spot on my head. You wouldn't even notice it if you didn't know it was there. Next time I stay with you, I promise lots of hugs and kisses in apologies for this incident. Please know that it may happen again, but i will try really hard to remember what I was taught, and to go down the stairs backwards. Hope you can forgive me because I enjoy spending time with you ever so much!

Awww, what a sweet little guy Harlan is to apologize. Sound like he is quite the adventurer. We are going through the same challenges with stair safety vs. the daring toddler mindset.
