Big Changes

So in my last post I informed everyone that our official moving date was Dec 3rd. Well it was, so I thought. But due to unseen work commitments, we were forced to make a change in our move date. We decided to move sooner, rather than later, and we (I mean Justin) moved us this week. Thats right. We are now officially (for real) moved in and sleeping at our new house.

There are some great things about this house so far

Oh wait! Before I go any further I need to take a minute and say thank you. I mean THANK YOU THANK YOU, a million times over, to everyone that offered and gave so much help the last few days. This quick move was not without its stress and if not for the help of others, we wouldnt have been so successful. Thank you to Nana and Papal for Tons of help with babysitting and heavy lifting over the past 2 days. Really truly, these are 2 very amazing people, and we love you both very much. Thank you to GIGI, who without hesitation, offered babysitting and unpacking help, even though she is still recovering from surgery. Gigi we love you tons, and appreciate your offer for help. We cant wait to see you for Thanksgiving on Thursday. We miss you bunches and are in great need of a day with you and your laughter. Thank you to Dakota, who helped Justin move lots of boxes and stuff. He was a lifesaver!! Also thank you to all my coworkers and friends who offered to help babysit the last couple days while I was at work and moving. I continue to drive 1 hour to work one way, in large part, because of the people I work with, and I appreciate the offers of help and all the ears that listened to a stressed out nurse vent!!!

Oh but now back to the house!!!!!!!

1. Its big. There is alot of room to spread out and there is lots of storage. It is alot easier to organize in a place that is so well thought out. I am hoping (HOPING) this means it will be a little easy to keep it clean (well picked up) and feeling like home.

2. Harlan has his own bathroom. This is great bc we can store his bath toys, towels, and bath soap in there and Mommy and Daddy dont have to keep moving it around, out of our way. This is a very big deal for me and it is high on the list of likes for me

3. We are getting a new washer and dryer. tomorrow. soooo excited. about laundry. ha! right, i know. how many weeks, i mean days, do you think that this will last (the excitement for laundry, hopefully the washer/dryer will last much longer)

4. We now have a home phone. We have only had cell phones since as longer as we have been married (4 1/2 yrs for those who are counting). I am obviously not going to post the number here, but if you want it, get ahold of me, and i will give it to you. well maybe, if i like you ;)

We are still getting used to all the new noises of living in the country. Very different and a little creepy at times. But in time, even that wont bother us anymore.

And as for little man?? He walks around the house, pretty much lost. Its not his home yet. His bedroom isnt set up and he doesnt recognize his surroundings. Now that all of his toys are here, he seems less cranky but it will take time. Soon he will be loving it as much as we do already!

Oh and as for pics of little man....the camera is somewhere in the shuffle of boxes and stuff but as soon as I can find it, I will get some pics of little man enjoying the new place!
