the blister of unknown origin

Imagine our suprise when we woke up this morning and found this!!

That's Right!!! A big blister on harlan's big toe on his left foot. We have no idea how he got it. There are a few theories, like maybe when he kicks his feet against the side of his pack n play at night, but no real answer. We did have the pedi look at it, and she told us to leave it be, and just check it for signs of infection. the nerve of that blister, hanging out on my baby's foot! Of course Harlan didn't mind it being there at all, he was as happy as a clam.

4 MONTH STATS
15 lbs 4 oz, 24 and 3/4 inches long
in the 50 th percentile for both ~ Not bad for a baby that started out in the 5th percentile for both ht and wt!

We had a pretty eventful day, including the pedi appt. First we went to Lowes with Daddy to try to match our living room paint color, so we can touch it up. We were unsuccessful at matching the paint, but we had fun at the store anyway.
Lowes has all of their Christmas stuff on display already and Mommy let Harlan try on a Santa hat. It was a smidge too big.
Mommy also got Harlan's opinion on a pumpkin pie candle.

We then headed to walmart for formula, and Mommy got Harlan a bigger bath tub to play and splash in, so hopefully mommy and the kitchen floor wont be soaked after bath time
"Hey Mommy, Isnt this supposed to have water in it?"

Finally we headed to Dr. Fledderjohn's office and then home. Dr. Fledderjohn was very impressed with Harlan and he even showed her how he can roll from his belly to his back when you put him up on his arms. She said his growth is great, and that Mommy and Daddy should keep going with the cereal and then start introducing veggies in a couple of weeks.

After we got home, Harlan ate and took a nap, so Mommy and Daddy got to work moving his crib and changing table downstairs into our bedroom. Harlan heard the ruckus and woke up to entertain us with his many animal like noises while we were working. Sometimes the kid sounds like a bird screeching or a pig screaming. It is quite entertaining. After that we tried out the new tub for real.
Mommy thinks baby Harlan overdid it a little kicking in the tub, bc afterward he was not a happy camper and he acted like his legs were really hurting. After a dose of tylenol and a bottle, he was fast asleep. So we put him down in his crib, for the first time ever!

*~ Mommy and Daddy are exhausted after today ~*
