Finally an update for our loyal readers!

Wow has it really been a week since our last post??? Well as you can tell, life is keeping us pretty busy 'round here. Harlan is thriving and keeping very busy with family and new adventures. Just this last weekend, we were able to visit an orchard that was having a fall festival/pumpkin patch event. Mommy and G-ma Gigi quickly learned that strollers aren't a great mode of transportation through a corn maze! In other news, Harlan rolled from his back up on his side the other day...all by himself. Did you read that right?? YUP ALL BY HIMSELF. I couldn't have been more proud. Mommy put him on the floor on his back and went to do something in the kitchen (no not cook, you should know that!) and came back and he was up on his side. He has done it several times since then.

He is also working very hard on learning to crawl. He generally tolerates tummy time for longer time intervals, and plants his face in the floor and wiggles. It is so funny to watch. Daddy said he actually made it a couple of inches yesterday. I guess his new nickname should be wiggle worm!

As always I have some pictures to share with you!

This first picture is his official 4 month old birthday picture.

This is Harlan at the orchard.

Harlan REALLY wanted Mommy's rootbeer. He eyed that bottle all the way to my mouth and back to the table!

Taking a break in his stroller.

Who's that baby in the mirror??

Harlan attempting to crawl. I hope to get this on video soon, bc he really does a good job of wiggling even if he doesn't get anywhere. He needs to work on strengthening those arms!

Harlan also got a chance to spend some time with Daddy and grandma and grandpa Watts and great grandma and grandpa Miller on Monday while mommy was working. Unfortunately I dont have any pics from that visit to share but hopefully next time we will be able to get some.

Harlan goes for his 4 month appointment soon, so watch for updates. Rumor also has it that he has a great Halloween costume to show off! Mommy will be working on Halloween, so Harlan is going trick or treating with Aunt Liberty. Poor Aunt libby may not even be able to eat the candy due to her brand new braces, but she says she will have fun taking Harlan out. Mommy thinks Harlan will understand her missing his first Halloween as long as she is there next time!

So as you can see there are many exciting things to come and we are sure looking forward to watching Harlan grow and learn new things. I will try to share all of it that I can through pictures and stories!
