Warning: May Be Hazardous to your Health

Mommy is loving her new hours at work. It is soooooo nice to work a 12 hour shift and not be totally exhausted the next day or missing out on the day by sleeping it away. Mommy slept in a little today and then got some things done while she waited for the crew to bring her baby boy home. Now don't have a heart attack when you read this: but i actually enjoyed getting out and running some errands without Harlan. Really. I was able to go to Walmart, grab lunch, and come home and do some cleaning around the house. (really, don't act too shocked, i really did some cleaning.) Now dont give me too much credit, i didnt do like deep, crazy cleaning, but the dishes are done, the house is picked up, and all the laundry is clean!!! That is a great feeling, because now when daddy has the next 2 days off we can enjoy the 2 days with him and not have to worry about getting stuff done.

Mommy and Daddy are going to attempt to move Harlan's crib and changing table down to our bedroom so he can actually sleep in his crib and not the pack n play. This may actually happen in the next couple days, and I will let you all know how he does during his first night in the crib.

Mommy also bought Harlan some oatmeal cereal today, to see if he likes the taste of that better than the rice. After talking with Daddy, we have decided we are definitely going to wait awhile before we give him anything sweet. We want him to be a good vegetable eater or at least not hate them, but dont worry he wont be the kid that we will never let eat ice cream or anything. Remeber who his mother is. All i wanted during my pregnancy was snickers so the kid may not have a chance, but we are going to at least try to set him up for healthy eating.

We are also considering become a pet-free house. There are alot of different factors that are going into this decision, but it may be the best route for our family. We are considering finding Riley a good home with someone with time to take her out and spend time with her, where she isnt couped up in a house all day. Mommy is having a little trouble with this because Riley makes me feel safe when Harlan and I are home and Daddy is at work. But Mommy and Daddy are also very busy with work and Harlan that Riley often gets overlooked, which isnt fait to her. If anyone knows of a good home for her, please let us know. Also we have a cat we need to find a home for as well.

"Don't you guys ever plan on letting me put anything other than this yucky thing in my mouth, like some real food?"

Thanks for the jammies g-ma Judy! Is it me or does Harlan look like a hoss in this picture. My tiny little baby is a chunker!
